About the President

My name is Glenanne Johnson and I grew up in North West Arkansas and attended the University of Arkansas.  I studied Chemical Engineering and have 15 years of engineering experience in chemical process industries and defense.

I have spent most of my career as a weapons systems engineer and was the US Army's Safety Engineer for the THAAD missile system.

I started Cherokee Engineering Services LLC in 2018 to bid on Innovation Research and Development contracts to further my developmental efforts to increase soldier maneuverability and survivability.

I have two technologies I am developing for soldiers that can be adapted to vehicle and aircraft:

  • Targeted Armor Composite Nano Engineered Technology (TACNET)

    • new armor solutions for personnel, vehicles, and air craft

  • Ballistic Blunt Impact Shock Cancelling Technology (BBI-SCT)

    • new shock cancelling technologies for vibration isolations and personnel protection

I named the company Cherokee Engineering Services LLC to honor my great grandfather who is full blood Cherokee Indian, Reuben Wilson.

In addition to IRAD development, I want a company that can support women minority engineers, Veterans, and parents.  I hope to employ many deserving people during my tenure as President.

I added architectural services and protective construction because my father is an architect and I specialized in protective construction.  I hope to work with my father's company, Tom Johnson Architecture LLC, who is a cancer survivor and a talented, wonderful person I want to spend more time with!  He is married to a beautiful Cherokee Indian, Kathy Weeks who I hope to employ as our administrative support.
